About Our Elopements & Wedding Packages

Established in March 2020, the Ballarat Marriage Registry was created to offer stress free, memorable & elegant elopements & micro wedding marriage ceremonies. In early 2026 the Ballarat Marriage Registry Elopements found a new home at Ballarat's stunning historic 'Craig's Royal Hotel'. Throughout the years, we have expanded to also offer full service wedding packages in collaboration with picturesque 'Allurah' and a number of highly regarded Ballarat Wedding professionals. We offer full service wedding packages to include venue, all catering & beverages, photography, marriage celebrant, live entertainment, videography, content creation, M.C services and more! 

The Ballarat Marriage Registry is owned and operated by 14 time ABIA Finalist from 2011-2025, 2025 Victorian Top 5 & Australian Top 15 Marriage Celebrant Kate Ritchie.

 Kate is an expert Marriage Celebrant, with over 25years in the Wedding Industry who is professional, energetic, fun and engaging. An Authorised Marriage Celebrant since 2008, Kate's strengths lie in the ease of communication, being highly organised and her attention to detail.    

Kate is also a passionate promoter of local Ballarat Wedding businesses as the Founder of the Ballarat Wedding Collective
